Learn Robotics the Fun Way!
In this exciting hands-on camp, kids become junior engineers as they learn how robots move, think, and respond to their environment! Through guided experiments, creative design, and fun coding games, campers will build and program virtual robots, learning core concepts of logic, automation, and problem-solving.
No prior experience is needed — just curiosity, creativity, and the joy of building something that comes alive!
What You’ll Do
Week 1 – Meet the World of Robots!
-
What is a robot? Explore real-world robots and how they help people.
-
Understand sensors, motors, and commands.
-
Activity: Design your own dream robot (draw or 3D build online).
-
Mini Project: Program a virtual robot to move and greet you!
Week 2 – Coding Your Robot Brain
-
Learn the basics of block-based coding (no typing required!).
-
Explore loops, events, and logic through games.
-
Challenge: Code your robot to navigate a simple maze.
-
Activity: “Debug the Bot” — fix code errors like a real engineer.
Week 3 – Smart Robots & Team Challenges
-
Add intelligence: make your robot follow colors or respond to sound.
-
Group activity: Work together to complete a “Rescue Mission” or “Treasure Hunt” challenge.
-
Learn teamwork, design thinking, and innovation.
Week 4 – Robot Showcase & Celebration!
-
Final Project: Build your personalized robot program — movement, lights, and voice.
-
Present your creation to the class!
-
Receive your Shoily School Robotics Microcredential Certificate.
-
Reflection: What did we learn about coding, problem-solving, and creativity?
